GRACE ARROWSMITH
I graduated from Loughborough University in 2022 with a First Class Honours degree in Textiles: Innovation and Design, specialising in Integrated Digital Practice. Heritage, regionality and community underpin my design thinking and process. I am passionate about a closed loop sustainable and regenerative future and hope to be a part of this positive change. My passion for natural materials including British wool stems from my family farm in Northamptonshire, giving me a strong connection to nature.
FLOCK
Heritage, regionality and sustainability underpin my design process. By using fleeces from my own flock, I hope to show that it is possible to work with British wool in its rawest and simplest form to create beautiful, timeless and long lasting pieces.
CUSTODIANS
Custodians collection raises awareness of industrial agriculture's negative impact on our earth and highlight how we can use regenerative and traditional agricultural techniques to restore our earth for future generations.
JEWELLERY DESIGN
Every piece of jewellery I make is unique as I use recycled beads from jewellery found in charity shops and Ebay. I really want to help in whatever way I can to stop waste and the production of new plastics.
PREVIOUS PROJECTS
My second year projects focus on digital embroidery on leather off cuts. Pompeii’s civilisations fashion, faith and resourceful living inspired my first collection. My second project explored historical methods of navigation used at sea.
